I went running a couple times this weekend.
The details from my attempts:
Friday--
16 minutes running at 5.0 for 1.32 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
7 minutes running at 5.0 for .58 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
5 minutes running at 5.0 for .42 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
1:30 running at 5.0 + :45 at 6.5 + :45 at 5.0 for .26 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
Total time: 39 minutes; Total distance: 3.1 miles; Total calories 310.8
Total time run: 31 minutes; Total distance run: 2.58 miles.
Ipod (Troi) died during the seven minute burst, which is why it was only seven minutes. TV is apparently not a good substitute for music, which is why the rest of the night was kind of sad.
Saturday--
19 minutes running at 5.0 for 1.58 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
9 minutes running at 5.0 for .74 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
5 minutes running at 5.0 for .41 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .13 miles.
:30 running at 5.0 + :30 at 6.5 + 1 at 5.0 for .17 miles.
2 minutes walking at 4.0 for .14 miles.
Total time: 43 minutes; Total distance: 3.43 miles; Total calories 343.5
Total time run: 35 minutes; Total distance run: 2.9 miles.
Fully working Ipod. :-D

It's weird -- often these days, I feel like a failure, 'cause back at the end of August, I was able to run a bit more than 20 minutes, straight, at a decent speed, and now it's a struggle to get to that 16-19 minute range.
But then, considering that it was mid-to-late July when I decided to start running, and my first attempts were basically just trying for a half a mile, and running for 5-10 minutes solid ....
I could be doing better. But I'm also kind of in shock that I'm even still trying. Running never was my thing.
